Do females look better with their natural hair color or dyed hair?

Q. Now that I'm thinking of it, I constantly dye my hair like there's no tomorrow. And I'm just wondering what you all think about that!

Do girls look better with their natural hair color? Or is dyed hair prettier? What if it looks natural? Is it too fake? What are your opinions about that?

A. sometimes your natural color is really pretty, but if you find a great color to dye it that's great too.

Why do so many people in this section say that dyed hair doesn't color?

Q. I have heard so many people say that is is pointless to color over already-colored hair because it won't take.

I have seen first hand people coloring dyed hair and it works.

I always color over my dyed hair. I do all of this at home and I have never had any issues.

A. Hair dyes have undertones that get really stuck in your hair.

For example if you dyed your hair a bright red, after the colour fades you will still have warm undertones in your hair (orange and yellow) and if you bought a cool brown dye to color over the red, it wont take properly and can come out an off colour, I've gotten violet hair a few times trying to cover a warm tone with a cool one.

So yes, applying colour over colour can be a tedious process, and can end up with bad results.

Q. How long should you wait to re-color your hair with another color after previously dying it with a different color?? For instance you dyed black hair with dark brown hair color and you want to change the color of the hair, and want to dye it light brown, is it safe to dye it light brown right away after two days of dying the black hair with dark brown hair color?? I apologize if there was confusion while reading this.

A. I used to re dye my hair a couple days after using a color I didn't like. Even after a bad judgement in using a blonde.. Haha. Dyed it the very next day I was so unhappy with it. My hair did not fall out or get bad. But it's probably not a good thing to do all the time. If you do it be sure to condition it really well. Leave in conditioners are really nice too.
