Any tips for how to straighten your hair faster with better results?

Q. It takes me forever to straighten my hair. Any tips? Is there any haircuts to make it easier? I have really thick hair and I usually have to straighten my hair the night before to save myself from getting up at 4 in the morning! Help me!

A. i used to have the same promblem but it really depends on many things like: how long your hair is,
how thick your hair is, how you straighten your hair (by sections, slowly, quickly etc) , and how hot your straightener is. you can always get your hair thinned out a bit ( not too much!) and you can shorten the length of your hair also i cut my hair a bit and also thinned it out and got more practice on straightening my hair cause i used to be super slow then i learned the correct movements and now it only takes me about 15-30 min to straighten my hair! i didn't have to cut my hair short so don't worry about that! always remember to start at the root and move slowly down your hair (depending on how thick or thin your hair is the thicker the slower and the thinner the faster you move your straigtner) if you don't start at the root you might form creases on your hair so try to start from root to tip!! is you need section out your hair!! hope this helped

What is a good shampoo for really thick hair to make it silky?
Q. I also like to straighten my hair. Any tips to make it easier? My hair also gets oily pretty fast too. Any tips?

A. Bed Head is amazing! But good drugstore brands are herbal essences, garnier fructis (they have one called sleek and shine), aussie, pantene, tressame, and sunsilk. I know thats a lot but their all good. If you like straight hair, use herbal essences pink staight shampoo/conditioner. Then pantene has a cream for straight hair.

Okay how do i get the tips of my hair to straighten?
Q. Whenever i straighten my hair tips flip outward how do i stop that? Thanks

A. If the ends of your hair are extremely damaged or you just have bad split ends, that could be causing your problem. If that's the case, then maybe you should consider a trim. If not, first, use extra heat protectant & then go over the ends a few more times than normal and then mist with hairspray. Hope this helps. (:

How does straightening damage hair? Also need some tips for straightening?
Q. How does it damage hair? Anyting I can do to prevent damage? Any tips for straightening hair? help.

A. the heat from the straighteners can fry your hair and cause split ends, same when you lay any source of heat directly on your hair as you're evaporating the moisture from it which causes it to become dry and damaged. straightening can also make your hair static and flyaway (=when your hair goes in all different directions) so use a heat protection spray to control it and protect it from becoming excessively overheated. also it's best if you use ceramic straighteners as opposed to metal ones because even though they have a higher operating temperature that'd initially be considered as damaging to hair (170 degrees celsius) they have the ability to transfer heat quickly and smoothly to the hair without grabbing which is very effective in creating smoother effects. other hot styling tools without a non-slip coating or ceramic surface can often tend to stick to hair which can cause damage as the hair will bond to the edges of the equipment until removal. whenever you straighten your hair it's best to start at a lower temperature and gradually increase it so your hair can adapt to the applied heat quicker. another tip, when hairspray/styling products have been used on your hair they can cause a build-up on the surface of the straighteners and over time it'll cause tacky or sticky points to develop on the surface. hair can stick to these areas and cause damage and the sticky points also stop the equipment from gliding smoothly over the hair so make sure you take care of your straighteners and don't overuse sprays or styling products.
