Q. I have mid-length hair and don't know what to do with it. I'm in my twenties and I'm about 5"2 and slim-- so, 'petite'--and want something really trendy. My hair isn't in the best condition, but I don't know what styles I should look at. What do you think looks best on women in their 20s? Long or short?

A. In your twenties your young enough to pull any hairstyle off. :-) What matters more is that the cut flatters your face shape and features.
When I was 19-20 I experimented with this haircut as I have very similar facial features and shape to this actress:

Everyone loved the haircut on me but it did make me look older.. people say short hair makes you look younger.. but not when your still young .. perhaps when you are 40+ it may otherwise you could end up looking older.
I just turned 22 and I now sport long hair with side bangs as I personally missed having length and it's easier to maintain. Trust me if you cut your hair waiting for it to grow out can take awhile.

A. I have no idea how you look so its hard to say what kind of hairstyle or make up suits you. But I can tell you that a funky scarf and nice pair of sunglasses will always make you look trendy even if you wear just plain t-shirt and jeans.
